Uniform Commercial Code (Ucc)
A model statute covering things such as the sale of goods, credit, and bank transactions. All states have adopted and adapted the entire UCC, with the exception of Louisiana, which only adopted parts of it.
A code of laws governing various commercialtransactions, including the sale of goods, banking transactions, securedtransactions in personal property, and other matters. The UCC was designed tobring uniformity in these areas to the laws of the various states. It has beenadopted, with some modifications, in all states (except Louisiana) as well asin the District of Columbia and in the Virgin Islands.
