A copy of an original writing or deed.
In Pennsylvania, the act of March 20th, 1810, calls a copy of the proceedings before a justice of the peace in any case, a transcript: the proper term would be an exemplification.
This entry contains material from Bouvier's Legal Dictionary, a work published in the 1850's.
An official direct and verbatim written record of what was said, as in a court of law or other judicial proceedings, or even private conversations. - ( read more on Transcript)
