Pardon
A remission of punishment or penalty without indicating exoneration from guilt.
A pardon is a government decision to allow a person who has been convicted of a crime, to be free and absolved of that conviction, as if never convicted. - ( read more on Pardon)
An exercise of the sovereign prerogative to relieve a person fromfurther punishment and from legal disabilities resulting from a crime of whichhe or she has been convicted. Its effect is that of relaxing the punishment andblotting out guilt, so that in the eyes of the law the offender is as innocentas if the offense had never been committed.
