Charge

In criminal law, a description of the underlying offense in anaccusation or indictment. In trial practice, an address delivered by the courtto the jury at the close of the case, telling them the principles of law theyare to apply in reaching a decision. The charge may also include instructionsgiven during the trial for the jury's guidance.
