Attractive nuisance
A potentially harmful object so inviting or interesting to a child that it would lure the child onto the property to investigate.
The doctrine in tort law that holds that one who maintainssomething dangerous on his premises that is likely to attract children isrequired to reasonably protect the children against the dangers of thatattraction. Thus, one has a duty to fence swimming pools, to remove doors fromdiscarded refrigerators, to enclose partially constructed buildings, and to besensitive to other potentially dangerous conditions that attract curiouschildren.
