Affirm
AFFIRM, AFFIRMED - The act of an appellate court upholding a decision of a trial court or a lower appellate court is called affirming the decision.In the practice of the appellate courts, the decree or order is declared valid and will stand as rendered in the lower court.
To approve or confirm; refers to an appellate court decision that alower court judgment is correct and should stand.
